We dreamed of building our own custom home. We had been searching for the perfect house for a long time but couldn’t find anything that fit our needs and style. Finally, we decided to take matters into our own hands and build our dream home from scratch.
We were victims of construction fraud/scam from another home builder. After the lawsuit was finalized we decided to build with Schumacher Homes. We began by working with Schumacher Homes to design a floor plan that would meet all our requirements. We wanted an open-concept living area with lots of natural light, a large kitchen with a center island, a spacious master suite, and plenty of room for our kids to play.
Schumacher Homes worked closely with us to choose the right materials, finishes, and colors for the home. Schumacher Homes also helped us select the right appliances, fixtures, and lighting to complete the look.
As construction began, we visited the site regularly to see the progress and make sure everything was going according to plan. We were excited to see our vision taking shape, but we also encountered a few setbacks along the way. One of the biggest challenges was dealing with unexpected weather conditions, which delayed the construction schedule.
Despite these setbacks, we persevered and stayed focused on our goal. Finally, after several months of hard work, our custom home was ready for move-in day. We were thrilled with the end result, and we couldn’t wait to start making memories in our new home.
Over time, we added personal touches to the house to make it truly our own. We painted the walls, hung up family photos, and added furniture and decor to reflect our unique style. We also enjoyed hosting gatherings with friends and family in our spacious living area and cooking meals in our dream kitchen.
Looking back, we are grateful for the experience of building our own custom home. We had learned a lot about the construction process and had gained a deep appreciation for the hard work that went into creating a home. We knew that our custom home was more than just a house – it was a reflection of our family and a place where we could create lasting memories for years to come.
