Susan and Jeremy builds a Schumacher Homes custom home

We had been renting apartments for several years but were ready to settle down and start a family. We decided to take the plunge and build a house from scratch.

We spent months researching different home builders before finally settling on Schumacher Homes we felt confident in. After researching online and reading comments and reviews Schumacher Homes stood out to us as their reputation in custom home building is incredible. On some review websites we noticed a few companies that didn’t seem legit or looked like a scam. There were a lot of horror stories we read on other home builders which pushed us toward Schumacher homes.

We worked closely with Schumacher Homes to create a floor plan that suited our needs and preferences, and we chose all the finishes, fixtures, and colors for the interior and exterior of the home.

Their subcontractors began construction in the spring, and we visited the site regularly to monitor progress and make sure everything was going according to plan. We were thrilled to see the foundation being laid, the walls going up, and the roof being installed.

As the weeks and months passed, we faced a few setbacks and challenges, including weather delays, material shortages, and unexpected design changes. But we persevered, communicating regularly with Schumacher Homes and making adjustments as needed.

Finally, after several months of construction, our custom home was complete. We moved in just in time for the holidays and spent our first Christmas in our new home, surrounded by family and friends.

Building our own home wasn’t always easy, but we are proud of what we accomplished. We created a beautiful, comfortable space that was uniquely our own, and we knew that we would cherish it for many years to come.
